Through customers feedback we have identifed that Technicolor branded routers can cause printer problems.
Through investigating ways to fix this problem, we have identified that the feature of 'Web Browsing Interception' is causing printers to stall or disappear from the network.
To disable this feature open up a web browser on a computer that is connected to the same WiFi supply as the intelligentpos system, and enter the IP 192.168.1.254 into the address located at the top of the screen. Once you have entered this IP you will be taken into the web inteface of the Technicolour router.
Here click on Technicolor Gateway.
Once in the Techincolor Gateway, click on 'Configuration' then click on 'Configure'. 'Configure' is located at the top right of the screen.
Within the 'Configure' option under 'System Configuration'. There is the option of 'Web Browsing Interception'. By default this option is set to 'Automatic'. Click on the drop down arrow and select 'Disable'.
Once this has been disabled, click on 'Apply'.
After 'Apply' has been clicked, the router will perform a restart. After the router has restarted, check that all printers are being seen in the intelligentpos app.
If you need to add these printers back into the system, please use the printer FAQ.
If you continue to experience problems with printer visibility, please contact us using firstname.lastname@example.org.
