"intelligentpos has helped us engage with our customers and understand them better by giving us loads of information around how our sales work"
We moseyed down to our favourite fried chicken food truck, Mother Clucker, to ask them about how they utilise the intelligentpos system in their business. Based in the heart of the Brick Lane area in London at the Truman Brewery, just around the corner from Spitalfields, Mother Clucker slings tea-brined, buttermilk-soaked, twice-battered fried chicken from their cool and quirky converted US Army ambulance, as well as popping up a few times a week at King’s Cross, Canary Wharf and Canada Water.
Having been trading nigh on two years, the truck is well-travelled, serving up their unique yet traditional Southern flavour at pop up pubs, festivals, and foodie events, and their simple but mouth-watering menu hits the spot. So what does a growing mobile business like theirs need to manage their sales and accounts? A fully-functioning, reliable cloud-based point of sale system, of course. Enter intelligentpos.
Our team grabbed a bite of some good ol’ Southern comfort with Brittney, Mother Clucker’s Mother Hen and co-founder, who explained exactly why they chose our system after researching us alongside others on the market.
Deciding on a POS system when starting up is not always an easy task, but for Brittney and her ambulance crew, intelligentpos offered everything they needed and more, at a competitive rate. One key feature that they use the most is the ability to quickly gather comprehensive, simple, yet detailed, data: “intelligentpos has helped us engage with our customers and understand them better by giving us loads of information around how our sales work. I can actually break down what time I sold them, and in some cases, who those might have been sold to. So the most valuable function intelligentpos has provided us with is being able to look at the data, and use that data to make better decisions.”
Brittney keeps track of her sales in detail from her iPad terminal, web portal and smartphone, so she is always in control and in the know, and can see immediately how the company is performing, “and in real time, which is really cool”.
Particularly important for her is the cloud-based technology which syncs and saves data: “even if we have internet connectivity problems, it still works”. Reliable technology is clearly a must for any mobile business, and Mother Clucker knows it, particularly as they are frequently on the move to different sites around London. Luckily for us, they are keen to give intelligentpos the thumbs (or, should we say, wings?) up, as Brittney adds, “We would recommend this system to others, and we have recommended this system to others.”
